The Department currently offers Bachelors degree in Electrical\nEngineering.\n\nLike any other area of science, Electrical Engineering technology is also going through rapid\nchanges. In order to impart education in such an ever-changing area, an institution needs to keep\nitself always updated through course curriculum, laboratory resources, and most important\nfaculty. We have a team of qualified, experienced &amp; dedicated teaching faculty. Department is\nsupported by equally dedicated qualified laboratory staff .Liaison with industry in the form of\nindustrial visits, students training, expert lectures and arranging of seminars &amp; workshops are an\n\nintegral part of our educational program. We at DPGITM are at the forefront, as far as high-\nquality engineering education is concerned. The purpose of Basic of Electrical Engineering lab is to introduce students with implementation of practical concepts that are taught in theory. The Basic of Electrical Engineering lab is equipped with Norton Theorem apparatus, Ohm&#8217;s law kit, series and parallel resistance kit, KVL and KCL apparatus etc. Students are encouraged to use their creativity and problem solving skills to explore and think about the unique problems in the world of electrical &amp; electronics engineering through experimenting in their Basic of Electrical Engineering lab.\n<h3>Electrical Machines Lab<\/h3>\nThe Electrical Machines Laboratory in Electrical Engineering Department is intended specifically to meet the needs of modern courses and its fundamentals in electrical machines. The Electrical Machines provides the means to study the different areas, including the operation, analysis and performance of Electro-technology, Single Phase Transformers, Three Phase Rotating Machines like DC Machines, Single &amp; Three Phase induction machines.\n<h3>Control System Lab<\/h3>\nIn today&#8217;s world of automation Control System Engineering forms a very important subject in the Electrical Engineering field where the students are exposed to contemporary control system equipment in a realistic manner, in order to connect theoretical material taught in lecture courses with the realities of physical hardware and simulation through &#8216;higher-level&#8217; technical computing language. In this lab the students get hands on how a control system is used for controlling errors. The lab has kits like Speed torque characteristics AC servo motor, Speed torque characteristics of AC and DC servo motor, Synchro-transmitter and receiver trainer, Magnetic Amplifier, PID controller kit, and compensation network study kit etc. The students also learn about the stability of the control system through MATLAB programming.\n<h3>Electrical circuit Analysis Lab<\/h3>\nThis laboratory is equipped with all the modern circuit theory lab equipments and their manuals. Experimental tools on different network parameters like Z, Y, T, H parameters. Moreover this lab also have apparatus for different types of filters such as high Pass Low pass band pas band stop and many other on resonance conditions.\n\nThis lab comprises of protection, simulation, high voltage and machine related experiments. Facilities are available for different relays. Varieties of Power System Simulation packages like MATLAB is available.\n<h3>Electric Drives<\/h3>\nThis lab is equipped for the simulation and control of conventional drives. In this lab student learn to deal with\nall kinds of electrical machine drives and required subsystems. The experiments are about circuits of electric power\nconverters and drive systems\n<h3>Power Electronics Lab<\/h3>\nThis lab enhances the electrical engineering students by providing them the better understanding of the concepts and\nworking of advanced power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits. The lab is equipped with prominent power\nelectronics equipments like AC voltage controller using SCR and TRAIC, series inverter, single phase half converter,\nsingle phase full converter, UJT triggering circuits and many more.\n<h3>Computer Application to Power System Analysis Lab<\/h3>\nIn this lab students are introduced to simulation based Software MATLAB. Experiments are studied using SIMULINK .\nStudents learns about computer applications in power.
